Our research did not find the creator or the origin of this day. This special day is right at the time when beans of all kinds are ready to harvest. Perhaps, there is some linkage to gardening!?

During our original research in the early 200os, the title of this day was Eat Beans Day.  Somewhere in the mid-2010s, some websites added the word “National” to the title. Neither Congress nor the President of the United States has proclaimed this holiday to be a national day. Let’s change that. Write your local congressperson and the President of the U.S. to voice your support for the creation of National Eat Beans Day.
