Peppermint Candy Shortbread Cookies Ingredients
Peppermint Candy Shortbread Cookie Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup peppermint candy, crushed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
Peppermint Candy Shortbread Frosting Ingredients:
1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 – 2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons peppermint candy, crushed
How to Make Peppermint Candy Shortbread Cookies Directions
Preheat oven to 300° F.
Mix together butter, sugar, and vanilla with an electric mixer.
Blend in crushed peppermint candy.
Gradually blend in flour and cornstarch.
Roll into 1″ balls, and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Using a glass dipped in powdered sugar, press down on each cookie to flatten it.
Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the bottom begins to brown.
Remove cookies from oven and allow to cool a little for 5 minutes.
Mix all frosting ingredients, except peppermint candy in a mixing bowl.
Drizzle frosting over the center of each cookie.
Sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top of the frosting.
Allow to completely cool.
