This mincemeat pie recipe makes a tasty old-fashioned pie. Many people will fondly remember Grandma making it. I do! Mincemeat pie is popular at Thanksgiving and other holiday meals.

Mincemeat Pie Ingredients
Pie Crust for two 9-inch pies (Grandma would make this from scratch)
2 cups (or 28-ounce can) of mincemeat
1 cup tart apples, peeled, cored, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup lemon juice
How to Make Mincemeat Pie Directions
Preheat the oven to 450° F.
Mix the mincemeat, apples, and lemon juice in a bowl.
Line the pie pastry in a 9-inch pie pan.
Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
Cover with the top crust.
Seal and crimp edges.
Cut slits in the top of the pie to vent steam while cooking.
Cover the edge of the crust with aluminum foil to prevent over-browning. Then, remove it in the final 15 minutes of baking.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
Serve the mincemeat pie warm.
Suggestion: Top the pie with whipped cream when serving.
