You might say the devil made you do it. This is a basic deviled eggs recipe. However, you can do all sorts of variations. Try adding chives to the egg yolk mixture. Or, instead of bacon bits, put a green olive (whole or sliced) on top of each egg.
Party Planning Tip: Plan to make 2-3 deviled eggs per person at your party. There will probably be a few left over. However, you don’t want to run out. Place any leftovers in the refrigerator.

Deviled Eggs Recipe Ingredients
6 hard-boiled eggs, chilled, peeled, and cut lengthwise
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon dry ground mustard
salt and pepper to taste
real bacon, cooked and crumbled into bits
paprika
How to Make Deviled Eggs Rccipe
Carefully scoop yolks out of the boiled egg halves.
Set egg white halves aside on a plate or a piece of waxed paper.
In a bowl, mix together with a fork the egg yolks, mayonnaise, mustard, and a dash of salt and pepper.
Fill the empty egg whites with the egg yolk mixture.
Sprinkle a few bacon bits on top of each egg.
Sprinkle a little paprika over the egg for effect.
Set finished eggs onto a serving dish.
Serve chilled.
- Lastly, store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
Kitchen Cleaning Tip
Are your baking sheets looking a bit grungy? You can restore them with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
Sprinkle the sheet with baking soda. Then, lightly spray it with hydrogen peroxide. Next, sprinkle a little more baking soda on top.
Let it sit for an hour or two. Finally, wash the sheet off and see the difference!
