Susan's Chocolate Brownie Recipe
This recipe has been handed down in our family from generation to generation.
There must have been a "Susan" in our family, leading to this recipe's name.
From the Kitchen of: Grandma, contributed by Debbie M., Rochester,NY.
Yield: 16 squares
Susan's Chocolate Brownie Ingredients:

3/4 cup flour
-
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt (use less if you want)

1 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup shortening
-
2 eggs
-
1 teaspoon vanilla
-
2 squares melted chocolate
How to make Susan's Chocolate Brownies:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix in shortening and sugar until light.

Add eggs and vanilla, mix until smooth.

Mix in melted chocolate.

Add in flour mixture from step #1.

Mix until smooth.

Pour batter into a greased cake pan.

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes.
