Friends are friends because you see something good about them. Here’s an easy compliment to a friend: “Wow, you’re very intelligent…you choose your friends wisely”.
Saying something positive about your boss or people you don’t like is a little more difficult. Take up the challenge. We know you can do it!
Remember: Silence is golden. Mama said, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything”. So, if after searching for something good to say, you can always choose to remain silent.
Compliment Day is celebrated by offering sincere compliments to people you know and meet. By all means, your compliments must be sincere. People will see right through insincerity, and you will do more harm than good.
How many compliments should you give out today? The common suggestion is five. Yes, they should be five different people.

- Gather in a circle.
- Look at the person to your left.
- Find a compliment for that person.
- Write the compliment on a piece of paper and who it is for.
- Gather the notes and post on a board.
- All players match each of the compliments to a player.
- The person with the most correct matches wins.
