Is it true blondes have more fun? It is if they have a blonde brownie in their hand. National Blonde Brownie Day, a January 22 holiday, is a special day that is set aside to bake and eat blonde brownies. I don’t know about you, but this is going to be a delicious day!
What’s a blonde brownie, you ask? Well, as their name implies, they are a light, almost blonde color. Traditional brownies are dark brown. To make blonde brownies, light brown sugar is used in the recipe in place of dark brown chocolate.
On National Blonde Brownie Day, it’s your right and responsibility to bake blonde brownies and eat them. If you don’t have time to bake today, buy some and eat a few extra blonde brownies.

Despite our extensive research efforts we did not find the creator or the origin of this day. Perhaps it was a blonde. Or, maybe it was someone who wanted a different-colored brownie. Perhaps it was a food company. We may never know. If and when we find the originator, we have one question to ask: “Just what was wrong with regular brownies!?!”
There is no evidence to suggest that this is truly a “National” day, which requires an act of Congress. Nor did we find any congressional records or presidential proclamations about this special day.
